Scope of the lesson:

Fables and myths: Presenting in front of a group; presenting in a small group

Listening comprehension of a myth

Vocabulary – Lesson 6, words 7-12

Adverbs vs. adjectives; exceptions.

Word structure

Dictation

Reading and pronunciation skills – reading a text and placing accent in the sentence.

 

Homework:

1.   De- deflect detour deforest – find about the meaning de- as a prefix and find words with that meaning.  

2.   De-fraud – [o]; deceive, cheat. Find words that mean "cheat".

3.   Reading: practice first ½ of the lesson for intonation. The accent in the sentence goes to the most important information from the viewpoint of the speaker. Read adj+noun together. Pause between two part of the sentence connected with "and". Pay attention on the vowels  and the stress of the words.

4.   Prepare 3-5 interesting scientific facts from the internet. We will discuss those next class.

5.   Copy your dictation times the mistakes you made capped at 10.
