Baba Marta is represented as a grumpy old woman that changes her mind all the time. And that is why the weather in Bulgaria changes all the time in March.  

 

You wear your Martenitsa until you see a stork or a budding tree.

It is a symbol of good health. Red= blood; white – snow.

 

 

 Past Tense= Use for actions that started and finished in the past.
